About the artist:

Jenny Archibald has always had a passion for art.  Being very creative, she has been able to design many things. Taking a 10 week watercolor course with Joy Laking, a well known local artist, in 1996, gave Jenny the opportunity to explore new watercolor techniques.  Most recently, she has discovered the joy of working with acrylic paints. With each new painting, she can see her talents improve by experimenting with different techniques and styles.  Jenny completed the Fundamentals of Art course offered from Art Instruction Schools, based in Minneapolis, MN, in 2005.  This correspondance course provided Jenny with a wide range of new subjects and forms to try.  In 2006 & 2007, she received the Merit award in the school's annual art contest.
Jenny has always had a strong desire to improve her skills, and her willingness to accept criticism has helped her work through some difficult and challenging projects.  She has sold several painting via her website, the local art gallery, and eBay.
